"WALIMU" tackles key barriers to education in developing countries, such as poor infrastructure, early marriages, and low school completion rates. The project focuses on providing sustainable, scalable, and practical education solutions to empower individuals and promote sustainable development by ensuring access to quality education for all.

Team 49

One in four high school students drops out or graduates with significant gaps in their grades. How can we motivate the students to apply and finish high school?  Second-year students are paired with 9th-grade students to mentor them throughout the year. The program includes a precourse to give the students tools to reflect and become aware of self-leadership importance. A structured study plan and support from teachers will be in motion to guide the mentorship process. Our goals are to create a platform that teaches students self-leadership, fostering personal growth, academic success, informed decision-making, and helping them become leaders of their own lives. After school, they will have access to an online community for continued support and networking.
